The Tiny Tots race is open to children ages 3 to 6 years old and was initially offered as entertainment for spectators while the Bermuda Triathlon Association was tabulating the scores for the junior triathlon. The race turned into a very popular event, attracting parents, grandparents and siblings who go crazy cheering for their little ones. This cute event allows small children to simply get wet with buoyancy devices at the beach and accompanied by an adult, he or she will hop on their bicycles (training wheels allowed) and pedal their way to the finish line. All tots receive a finishing medal and they even receive an official Iron Kids kit like the junior triathletes at registration.
